German Language Courses

The Darmstadt Summerschool offers four levels of German instruction taught by qualified and experienced teaching staff. These are: Absolute Beginner, Beginner with Basic Knowledge, Intermediate and Advanced. Throughout the five-week Summerschool you will have at least 80 hours of practical language instruction, which are designed to complement your afternoon Cultural Studies program.

To provide you additional opportunities to improve your language skills, all Summerschool participants will sign up for a Tandem Partner, all of whom are students or employees at Technische Universität Darmstadt .

TU Darmstadt – founded in 1836 – offers a wide range of subjects, not only in the traditional fields of natural and engineering sciences, but also in social sciences and the humanities. The combination of engineering and economic studies, including foreign languages and study abroad experiences, enables graduates to compete on the international job market. Foreign students constitute more than 18 per cent of TU Darmstadt's 19.000 students, which is significantly higher than the average 8 per cent at German universities. In addition, TU Darmstadt maintains scientific cooperation on a contractual basis with more than 65 partner universities all over the world.
