Our internship from 29.03.2004 till 06.04.2004
The first week we were in the library and interviewed a lot of people from the centre of languages. Although Mrs. Hufeisen, Mme Personne, Mrs. Marx, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Herold, Mrs. Capar-Terizakis and Mrs. Schmitt. There we realized that a job at the centre of languages is very interesting, varied and versatile. It is obvious that the employees are very active, friendly and endeavour to teach the students all languages. We needed more than four hours to interview all the people but it was very productive we think.
Now we can form a clearer picture of the job in the centre of languages.
After the first week we helped Ms Schmitt in the Summer School to create a new list with leisure activity offers for the American students who will take part in the Summer School.
The only thing we missed was a clear job order. The first day we were a little bit confused because we first did not know what we should do. But on the same day we attended the Spanish course. We found it very interesting to listen to an unknown language and we learned a lot about the lessons at University. It was more relaxed than in school. It seemed to be fun for the teacher and the students. We will be glad to finish school and to begin to study at university.
All in all it was a very good experience and a good decision to do our internship in the centre of languages. We had al lot of fun and we would recommend this internship here to everyone who likes languages.
