Working meeting

Working meeting from the AKS-AG “Academic misconduct and language centres”

Friday, 04 March 2022 from 10.35 am to 11.35 am

The AKS-AG “Academic misconduct and language centres” invites all colleagues to share past experience with cheating and other questionable practices during exams in online, hybrid and blended learning contexts. When we meet in early March 2022, many instructors will have been teaching mostly online for over two years. During this time, a lot of important insights related to exam design, administration and evaluation has been certainly gained that can inform current and future practice of cheating-resistant language testing.

The meeting will offer a platform to review recent and current testing practices in the light of their vulnerability to unlawful behaviours. In particular, we will focus on reshaping assessment tasks discourage or explicitly welcome using online translation tools and implement or avoid online proctoring. As always, the session will be hosted in both German and English and the proceedings will be documented and circulated.
