Thinking Europe’s Future – Social, Cultural, Digital.
Weimar Triangle Student Congress
20 – 26 September 2026
This student congress is a continuation of the project “Digital Weimar Triangle: Youth – Motor of an Innovative and Solidary Europe”, which was hosted by the Association du Triangle de Weimar in Paris in November 2025, and will be organised by Stowarzyszenie Trójkąt Weimarski in Poland in 2027.
The student congress is aimed at students from Germany, France, and Poland who wish to engage academically with one of the following topics within a working group:
Group 2: The role of art, music, and literature in the digital and analogue European cultural space
Group 3: The importance of women as pioneers of modernity in science and society
Detailed descriptions of the individual working groups can be found below.
Students will work in trinational project groups to develop independent academic contributions throughout the congress, presenting their results as posters for critical reflection with other participants and invited experts. In addition to the core topics, the focus will be on multilingualism and interculturality.
Participation in the student congress is limited to ten students from each of the three countries. A letter of motivation is required for the selection of participants. This letter should outline the applicant’s previous experience with one of the stated topics and how they intend to explore it further during the congress. Furthermore, the letter of motivation should provide information regarding language proficiency. As English plays a vital role as a working language alongside Polish, French, and German, English proficiency at B2 level is required.
The letter of motivation may be written in German, French, or Polish (max. 2 pages).
