Online registration for Language Resource Center Courses (application for a course place) is possible in the Gesamtkatalog aller Module des Sprachenzentrums – Catalogue of all Language Resource Center Modules in your TUCaN account during the following time period:
Wednesday 1st October 2025, 0:00 until Tuesday, 14th October 2025, 23:59
These courses are subject to floating registration on the course level; i.e. once the registration period is complete, course places will be allotted according to a lottery system! Be sure to follow the instruction for course registration!
TUCaN registration for language courses is also available for TU Darmstadt staff members.
Staff members interested in a language course should follow these instructions: A Guide to Language Course Registration for TU Darmstadt Employees (opens in new tab) . This can be done from 1st September 2025. Please note that this procedure can take up to two weeks. Be sure to be able to register for the modules/courses during the registration period. In order to avoid double registrations, please do not ask for a staff member account if you will be getting a students account in the near future.
Diplom, Magister and Doctoral students can also register in TUCaN in the Modulkatalog (catalogue of all modules).
Please note that you have to take a placement test for most languages. Beginner courses do not require any placement test. Should you nevertheless participate in a beginners' course with previous knowledge, you may be removed from the course – possibly even a few weeks after the start of the course.
